Choosing sellers and items, and reading QC photos

A coupon only helps if the parcel was worth sending. This page covers the checks that come before any code: the seller, the item, the inspection photos and the rules that run once goods arrive.

QC photos: what the warehouse checks

Every parcel that reaches the Xiamen warehouse is opened, checked for prohibited items and weighed. The inspection page says staff check quantity, colour, size and labels, and that the standard photos are generally three, free of charge. Extra photographs or measurements may carry a fee; review the current account quote before requesting them.

The photos are the operator's record of what arrived, and on the points mall they are explicitly the final reference for an item's condition. Look at them carefully before you pay the parcel bill, because after shipping the options narrow.

Reading QC photos against your order

Start with the listing: does the colour and variant in the photo match what you ordered? Then the labels: is the size tag readable, and does it match? Look for defects at full size: stains, loose stitching, scuffs on soles, missing hardware. Count the pieces for sets.

If something is wrong, act quickly. The returns rule gives 5 days (120 hours) after warehousing, and only when the seller offers returns. Ask for a targeted detail or measurement when a standard shot leaves a doubt; check its fee first.

How to vet a seller before paying the product bill

On Taobao and Weidian, older shops with steady ratings carry less risk than new shops with a handful of glowing reviews. Buyer photos taken in ordinary rooms tell you more than studio images. A size chart in centimetres, measured flat, saves a return.

Check whether the seller accepts returns. Oopbuy's 5-day window only works if the seller agrees to take the item back, and its exclusion list (customised items, items with tags removed, underwear, food, used goods and more) applies on top.

How to choose items with the parcel bill in mind

Since most Oopbuy coupons reduce the parcel bill, the weight and size of an item matter as much as its price. Puffers, boots and boxed trainers push a parcel toward volume pricing. Batteries, liquids and powders narrow the shipping lines. Tees, caps and jewellery add little.

Do not order counterfeit goods. Oopbuy's rules say infringing items may be destroyed at the warehouse without being shipped and without a refund, which makes any coupon spent on them a total loss.

How to judge a spreadsheet site before trusting its codes

A good spreadsheet site shows when its content was last checked, keeps its category links working, names someone responsible and gives a way to reach them, and links its numbers to the page they came from. Apply those tests to this site too: the read date sits on every code, account-support routes are in the footer, and the change log is on the help page.

Be wary of catalogues that promise a code will save you a fixed share of your order. Coupon minimums, caps and stacking rules decide what a code does, and most of those are not published.

Trustworthy agent signals, and the gaps Oopbuy leaves

Look for an operator you can identify (a company name and number), a fee page that lists what you pay, written storage and returns windows, and a support route that answers. Oopbuy publishes all four: Openbuy Technology HK Limited, the Service and Fees page, 90 days of free storage and a 5-day returns window, and 24/7 chat.

Then look at what is missing. For coupons, the gaps are stacking, caps and the contents of the new-user bundle. A trustworthy agent is not one with no gaps; it is one whose gaps you know before you pay.

Before you order: five things to watch

  • A shipping coupon does nothing for the item price, and a product coupon does nothing for the parcel.
  • A spend-and-save ticket below its minimum is worth nothing on that bill.
  • Coupons from draws can expire in 30 days, sometimes in 3; check My Coupons after every claim.
  • Points arrive only after dispatch and die on 31 December.
  • Points mall items have 30 days of free storage and no returns.

If something goes wrong, the help page lists the official pages and support routes.

Other agents and how their coupon programmes differ

Oopbuy is one of many agents that buy from Chinese marketplaces. Some charge a service fee as a percentage of the order; others list no service fee but still require you to compare exchange conversion and payment costs. Some split coupons between product and shipping as Oopbuy does; others offer only shipping coupons. Some run their own points catalogue; Oopbuy uses a partner mall.

If you compare agents, compare the same parcel through each estimator on the same day, and read each coupon's target and minimum rather than its headline value. This site covers Oopbuy only and does not rank agents.

QC is a visible inspection, not a guarantee

The inspection policy reviewed on 18 October 2026 covers incoming checks such as quantity, colour, size labels and obvious condition. Standard photos are usually three, not a guarantee of every angle. They do not authenticate a brand, establish fabric composition, guarantee fit or certify electronics function.

In the shoe example, you can compare the pair and box, but cannot read every label or assess how the sole flexes. For a shirt, a folded front view does not measure chest width. Ask for the missing angle or a named measurement in centimetres. Keep the original order and images together.

Compare the seller, the variant and the evidence

Save the shop link and the exact SKU. Read recent reviews about the same variant rather than a seller's overall sales count. Look for consistent buyer photos and measurements, and ask what is included when the listing shows several items. A long-established shop is a useful signal, not proof that this product is good.

For clothing, compare flat measurements against a garment you own. For electronics, check power, plug, compatibility and whether any functional test is available; appearance QC alone cannot answer those questions. For cosmetics or perfume, establish route eligibility and product information before paying. If the seller cannot answer a question essential to your purchase, choose another listing.

Compare agents with one identical shopping basket

Use the same items, destination, packed-size assumption and comparison date. Record service charges, domestic freight, funding rate, payment fee, packing charges and route cost. Then compare support responsiveness, inspection options, storage, returns, compensation and the operator's identity. A percentage-off banner cannot replace that comparison.

An agent with a different route, inspection service or payment method may suit you better. Request a clear answer about your goods and destination before committing funds. Avoid rankings based on a single sponsored haul or an affiliate discount; the appropriate choice depends on the parcel you actually need.
